BENEFITS TO PHYSICIANS FROM PARTICIPATION IN FLORIDA NETPASS:

The greatest single opportunity to make improvements to both the cost and quality of healthcare today lies in enhancing the interface between payers, providers and patients. Florida NetPASS provides its physicians with valuable clinical and financial information about their patients that was not previously available to help support the crucial doctor-patient relationship.  Information includes consolidated medical records, performance measures, clinical reports, and national practice and cost-effectiveness guidelines. This results in a less intrusive, more collaborative care management model.

The $3.00 case management fee continues to be paid to the PCP by Florida NetPASS as a pass-through from the state. Claims are sent to the Florida NetPASS PSN for review.  Authorized claims are then forwarded to ACS as appropriate for adjudication and payment and reimbursed in the normal manner.

The PSN is eligible to receive mandatory assignments. This means Florida NetPASS will have the ability to assign new Medicaid beneficiaries to PCP's offices, based on practice capacity and the geographic location of the recipients
