The purpose of the "Super Group" model:
Several pilot project "models" have been introduced in the South Florida area by AHCA. The Florida NetPASS model is referred to as a "Super Group".
Physicians who enroll in Florida NetPASS are designated in the MediPass system as part of a singular, large PCP "group practice". This enables Florida NetPASS to aggregate critical clinical and claims-based information to foster improvements in the provision, analysis and reporting of patient care information at the practice and program levels. |

"Upon termination
of the pilot project
AHCA will transfer Florida NetPASS beneficiaries back to their former MediPass primary care providers…" |
While it is true that both physicians, and their MediPass beneficiaries, are rolled up under the pilot for the duration of the project, the PCP's beneficiaries must be reassigned to the PCP by Florida NetPASS under the pilot project immediately upon enrollment.
Upon termination of the AHCA-NetPASS contract, to ensure continuity of care for the recipients, the Agency will transfer Florida NetPASS beneficiaries back to their former MediPass primary care providers providing that the PCP has sufficient capacity to absorb additional beneficiaries.
In the event that a provider terminates his/her contract with the Florida NetPASS pilot project, MediPass beneficiaries always retain the ability to request that they be transferred back to their former MediPass primary care provider at any time by contacting their local MediPass office. |
